Spectators: 7522 (Terracing: 5642, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sidney Revell kicked off to start the match. After 5 played minutes Ferencvárosi TC got a freekick which was hit by Lee Hind. Shaun Barfield blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Philip Bateman having to make a save. Philip Bateman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jamie Birchall in the 11th minute of the match. Philip Bateman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamie Birchall, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 12th minute, Jamie Birchall ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Philip Bateman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Liam Gildea got free with Roger Heslop in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Philip Bateman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shaun Barfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. If Phillip Swallow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shaun Barfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Bateman having to interfere. When Liam Gildea came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Yarm FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liam Gildea couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute, Shaun Barfield left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ferencvárosi TC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Philip Bateman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jamie Birchall's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. The supporters of Ferencvárosi TC booed when Yarm FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacob Pointon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yarm FC's Philip Bateman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamie Birchall in the 36th minute of play. Shaun Barfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Shaun Barfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jamie Birchall made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Yarm FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jamie Birchall came free, but Philip Bateman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Jamie Birchall managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferencvárosi TC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jamie Birchall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Bateman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liam Gildea in the 63rd minute of play forced Ferencvárosi TC's goalkeeper Roger Heslop to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jamie Birchall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Bateman having to interfere. A hard shot 66 in the game by Jamie Birchall from a close distance when the talented Philip Bateman managed to make a qualified save. Yarm FC's players were relieved. In the 68th minute, Den Pitman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roger Heslop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liam Gildea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Jamie Birchall managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferencvárosi TC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jamie Birchall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Bateman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yarm FC were furious when Bob Fisher was red carded, 80 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Yarm FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Philip Bateman, was totally fooled by Ferencvárosi TC's Mitch Tynan, who 82 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Zack Bryden kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Jamie Birchall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Bateman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Philip Bateman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamie Birchall in the 92nd minute of play. A hard shot 93 in the game by Shaun Barfield from a close distance when the talented Philip Bateman managed to make a qualified save. Yarm FC's players were relieved. A collision led to Ferencvárosi TC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Jamie Birchall hit a great ball. In the 97th minute Liam Gildea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Heslop saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Yarm FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ferencvárosi TC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
