Hampton in Arden
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jamie Birchall started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 7 minutes in the game, Mitch Scorfield fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Roger Heslop having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Jamie Birchall's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stefan Reynolds was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Pete Delaney hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Stefan Reynolds showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shaun Barfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shaun Barfield in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stefan Reynolds prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 21st minute Jamie Birchall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Reynolds saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Kurt Mortimer made a precise shot to the right of Roger Heslop. Ferencvárosi TC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, Hampton in Arden's Kurt Mortimer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roger Heslop narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hampton in Arden's Stefan Reynolds played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shaun Barfield in the 31st minute of play. In the 31st match minute, Hampton in Arden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andre Meehan to maneuver through the defense. If Jamie Birchall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shaun Barfield struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Stefan Reynolds didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ferencvárosi TC. Jeff Clarkson kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Hampton in Arden's goal looked a bit too open when Jamie Birchall came free, but Stefan Reynolds reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Roger Heslop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Mortimer in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mitch Scorfield in the 57th minute of play forced Ferencvárosi TC's goalkeeper Roger Heslop to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roger Heslop came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Hampton in Arden's Mitch Scorfield. But to his dismay, Mitch Scorfield quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Roger Heslop stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kurt Mortimer's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute, Kurt Mortimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jamie Birchall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 72 minutes, Shaun Barfield managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferencvárosi TC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shaun Barfield was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hampton in Arden's Stefan Reynolds played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamie Birchall in the 77th minute of play. If Shaun Barfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mitch Scorfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Roger Heslop tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hampton in Arden fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ferencvárosi TC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
