Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Frazer Shaw took the kick off in the first half of the match. Frazer Shaws short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Sean Bowden to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Frazer Shaw managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reading FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Frazer Shaw was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sean Bowden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ash Lawless showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clive Colton, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Frazer Shaw struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Sean Bowden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reading FC. Frazer Shaw received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Sean Bowden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute Danny Wildman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean Bowden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Danny Wildman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sean Bowden. Danny Wildman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Reading FC's Ash Lawless played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vern Skipton in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th minute, Adrian Revell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sean Bowden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frazer Shaw in the 39th minute of play. Bradley Rice fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sean Bowden having to interfere. Andy Paley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Sean Bowden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Adrian Revell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vern Skipton made a kick off. Reading FC's Frazer Shaw got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Aaran's goal looked a bit too open when Frazer Shaw came free, but Sean Bowden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Jay Holland recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ash Lawless. Jay Holland showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Frazer Shaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After 66 played minutes Aaran got a freekick which was hit by Francis Haywood. Reading FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frazer Shaw in the 68th minute. After a rather tough play, Aaran's Francis Haywood got a free kick in the 69th minute. Danny Wildman struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clive Colton got free with Ash Lawless in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vern Skipton in the 76th minute of play forced Reading FC's goalkeeper Ash Lawless to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Vern Skipton came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Aaran fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vern Skipton couldn't finish the play. After having played for 89 minutes, Adrian Revell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reading FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Revell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Reading FC's zone, Francis Haywood stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ash Lawless came out of the goal and Francis Haywood tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Reading FC's Frazer Shaw got a free kick in the 93rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vern Skipton in the 95th minute of play forced Reading FC's goalkeeper Ash Lawless to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reading FC's Adrian Revell got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Reading FC were the better team. Reading FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
