In the 16th minute Aaron White shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ash Lawless saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ash Lawless showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron White, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Ash Lawless showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malcolm Pointon in the 19th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Reading FC's Adrian Revell got a free kick in the 20th minute. After having played for 25 minutes, Adrian Revell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reading FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Revell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Bradley Rice got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ash Lawless made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Sargent in the 34th minute of play. Ash Lawless showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron White, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. When Jonathon Burgess fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Reading FC's protests and gave Jonathon Burgess a yellow card for diving instead. After 36 played minutes Reading FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathon Burgess. A collision led to Reading FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Bradley Rice hit a great ball. In the 39th minute Aaron White shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ash Lawless saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th match minute, Reading FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trev Speed to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Reading FC's zone, Nicky Gerrard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ash Lawless came out of the goal and Nicky Gerrard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aaron White to make the kick off. Malcolm Pointon charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Malcolm Pointon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Reading FC booed when GALATASARAY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malcolm Pointon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the GALATASARAY defense, Bradley Rice kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Burgess. The GALATASARAY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Burgess should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Reading FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Joseph Clare hit a great ball. Danny Wildman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ash Lawless showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malcolm Pointon in the 65th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Adrian Revell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joel Burgess was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Ash Lawless made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vern Connor in the 75th minute. With a little luck, Reading FC's Ash Lawless got control of the ball when Marcus Sargent tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 78 minutes, Joseph Clare managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. One of Reading FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of GALATASARAY:s goal.
