Charlie Backhouse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Larry Huckerby having to interfere. Leigh Housham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute of the match Cullompton got a corner. Timperley's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roy May ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gez Moore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 31st minute, Rueben Pelc fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Rueben Pelc's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Spike Edmonton skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Larry Huckerby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gez Moore in the 36th minute of play. 43 minutes in the game, Leigh Housham fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Spike Edmonton having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leigh Housham was the one to do the kick off. Larry Huckerby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gez Moore in the 57th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cullompton's zone, Gez Moore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Larry Huckerby came out of the goal and Gez Moore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Charlie Backhouse got free with Larry Huckerby in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Larry Huckerby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gez Moore in the 63rd minute of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Gez Moore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Timperley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gez Moore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Charlie Backhouse struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Larry Huckerby didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Timperley. After a defensive mix-up in Cullompton's zone, Charlie Backhouse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Larry Huckerby came out of the goal and Charlie Backhouse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Charlie Backhouse could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Larry Huckerby made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Timperley's Larry Huckerby threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gez Moore, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With his leg Larry Huckerby managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Timperley's Charlie Backhouse fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 81st minute, Owen Knight hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timperley's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Syd Bow in the 86th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Zak Downes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Gez Moore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Larry Huckerby having to interfere. Charlie Backhouse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Larry Huckerby having to interfere. Larry Huckerby made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Gez Moore sent off a good shot on target. Dylan Bridgewater kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Timperley's Syd Bow couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 97th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cullompton. Timperley were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
