Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gez Moore made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute of the match Chaz Parsons sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Spike Edmonton skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Gez Moore managed to get in a good position for a shot. Timperley's supporters rose to their feet, but Gez Moore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joe Fleetwood breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Wayne Strickland fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Illusion XI's protests and gave Wayne Strickland a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Illusion XI getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Wayne Strickland hit a great ball. In the 14th match minute, Illusion XI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodney Pamplin to maneuver through the defense. Junior Duckworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Spike Edmonton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joe Fleetwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gez Moore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Backhouse in the 27th minute of play forced Illusion XI's goalkeeper Joe Fleetwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Illusion XI:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Timperley:s goal. In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for Timperley. Syd Bow stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joe Fleetwood. 0-1. Syd Bow kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Shawn Billing charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shawn Billing the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute, Shawn Billing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Junior Duckworth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Spike Edmonton having to interfere. Dominik Cooke hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Junior Duckworth made a kick off. Joe Fleetwood made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Dominik Cooke sent off a good shot on target. Spike Edmonton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Junior Duckworth in the 56th minute of play. If Gez Moore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Illusion XI's Junior Duckworth got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Junior Duckworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Junior Duckworth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Spike Edmonton was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Junior Duckworth took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Spike Edmonton. Spike Edmonton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Charlie Backhouse got free with Joe Fleetwood in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joe Fleetwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gez Moore, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Illusion XI had played much better football throughout.
