In the 29th minute Max Lodge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyler Bassett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, one of st helens town:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for st helens town. In the 42nd minute, Wisła 1906 Kraków's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Stefan Wardman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After the first half Wisła 1906 Kraków were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Stefan Wardman made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Stefan Wardman made a precise shot to the right of Philip Fitter. The crowd rose to their feet as Max Lodge kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tyler Bassett. That made the score 1-4 in the 65 minute of play. Ricky Groves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Philip Fitter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Byron Peat came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the st helens town fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Byron Peat couldn't finish the play. 76 minutes into the game, Ricky Groves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Philip Fitter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Wisła 1906 Kraków's Neil Whitworth got a free kick in the 81st minute. After some careless play in the Wisła 1906 Kraków defense, Ricky Groves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Philip Fitter. The Wisła 1906 Kraków fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Philip Fitter should have stopped the shot. Byron Peat kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 4-4 when Stefan Wardman sped through Wisła 1906 Kraków's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Philip Fitter. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the st helens town players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
