Wisła 1906 Kraków's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave gateshead express the free kick. Wisła 1906 Kraków's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when David Hulbert scored to the left of an out of position Philip Fitter, making the score, 2-0. David Hulbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Philip Fitter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Jude Brennan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Philip Fitter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bart Hatcher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Don Firth in the 26th minute of play. After 31 minutes, Denis Ginn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wisła 1906 Kraków and the gateshead express players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Wisła 1906 Kraków! The goalkeeper, Philip Fitter, was totally fooled by gateshead express's Jimmy Pennant, who 33 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. David Hulbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Philip Fitter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rhys Waller's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Philip Fitter skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Philip Fitter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Hulbert in the 44th minute of the match. David Hulbert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

gateshead express's David Hulbert got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wisła 1906 Kraków's Philip Fitter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rhys Waller in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, gateshead express's David Hulbert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Philip Fitter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Philip Fitter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Hulbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rhys Waller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philip Fitter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rhys Waller's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Hulbert in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Philip Fitter saved Wisła 1906 Kraków from getting behind. When Rhys Waller came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the gateshead express fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rhys Waller couldn't finish the play. Ben Waple took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Philip Fitter. Wisła 1906 Kraków's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 70th minute, gateshead express's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Don Firth fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Max Lodge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the game, David Hulbert cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Philip Fitter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th minute, Neil Whitworth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 83 minutes, Rhys Waller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. gateshead express's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rhys Waller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rhys Waller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If David Hulbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Philip Fitter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Hulbert's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. 92 minutes into the game, gateshead express's David Hulbert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Philip Fitter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Freddie Stubbs hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When Don Firth, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 96 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Bart Hatcher was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. gateshead express had played much better football throughout.
