Spectators: 7269 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Bart Helks made the kick off which started today's match. Kris Mansell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Malcolm Hudson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5thth minute of the game Ashley Woodier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thornham's Malcolm Hudson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Malcolm Hudson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ashley Woodier in the 6th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ashley Woodier in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Malcolm Hudson saved Thornham from getting behind. 10 minutes into the match, Thornham's goal looked a bit too open when Kris Mansell came free, but Malcolm Hudson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ashley Woodier kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Kris Mansell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcolm Hudson having to interfere. Bart Helks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andy Hampton kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Eddie Fawcett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bill Gerrard went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Bart Helks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Eddie Fawcett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kris Mansell to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Andy Hampton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eddie Fawcett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bart Helks, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. When Bart Helks came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Thornham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bart Helks couldn't finish the play. Andy Hampton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64thth minute of the game Bart Helks who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Crazy Chickens London's Eddie Fawcett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Bart Helks sped through Crazy Chickens London's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eddie Fawcett. Ashley Woodier took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Malcolm Hudson. Malcolm Hudson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Thornham's Malcolm Hudson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kris Mansell in the 92nd minute of play. With a little luck, Thornham's Malcolm Hudson got control of the ball when Al Aspinall tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Crazy Chickens London's zone, Bill Gerrard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eddie Fawcett came out of the goal and Bill Gerrard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 96 minutes into the match, Thornham's Bart Helks sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eddie Fawcett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Thornham fully deserved thier win.
