Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) mliavn's Ricky Welch started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Gerry Eagles managed to get in a good position for a shot. South Ockendon's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerry Eagles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John-Paul Brough breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. John-Paul Brough made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chip Ealham in the 11th minute of play. John-Paul Brough made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Thomas Lemerond sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th match minute, South Ockendon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominik Ainsworth to maneuver through the defense. The mliavn fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when mliavn's Ricky Welch looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. John Manson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricky Welch, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. mliavn's John-Paul Brough proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save mliavn from getting a goal against them. In the 39th minute Chip Ealham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John-Paul Brough saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chip Ealham to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the mliavn defense, Thomas Lemerond kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of John-Paul Brough. The mliavn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that John-Paul Brough should have stopped the shot. After 61 played minutes South Ockendon got a freekick which was hit by Alfie Hammett. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominik Ainsworth in the 77th minute of play forced mliavn's goalkeeper John-Paul Brough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Ricky Welch notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of South Ockendon's John Manson. John Manson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ricky Welch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. John Manson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to mliavn getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Jonny Claydon hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Chip Ealham ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. John-Paul Brough was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After 95 minutes, Gav Law mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the mliavn and the South Ockendon players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 96 played minutes mliavn got a freekick which was hit by Gav Law. When South Ockendon's Chip Ealham in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye mliavn's goalie prevented a goal.
