Spectators: 7555 (Terracing: 5668, Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 150) Nicholas Beesley made the kick off and thus started the match. Thomas Lemerond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicholas Beesley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. John Manson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Potato Chasers's James Preston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chip Ealham in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Ethan Legzdins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. James Preston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chip Ealham in the 20th minute of play. If Thomas Lemerond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Manson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicholas Beesley, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Chip Ealham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. James Preston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ethan Legzdins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Manson having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Lance Moss got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 35 minutes, Robbie Tetley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Potato Chasers and the South Ockendon players grew even worse after the yellow card. Robbie Tetley kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Chip Ealham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. James Preston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Pierce Carter came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Potato Chasers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pierce Carter couldn't finish the play. Thomas Lemerond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Chip Ealham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chip Ealham to make the kick off. Thomas Lemerond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Potato Chasers's goal looked a bit too open when Chip Ealham came free, but James Preston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicholas Beesley struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. John Manson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Potato Chasers. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chip Ealham in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck James Preston prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thomas Lemerond got free with James Preston in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Chip Ealham came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the South Ockendon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chip Ealham couldn't finish the play. Lance Moss hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Thomas Lemeronds short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got James Preston to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 95th minute Grant Woodhall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but James Preston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The South Ockendon players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
