Spectators: 7498 (Terracing: 5624, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) Potato Chasers's James Preston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Sugden in the 16th minute of play. Tom Sugden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. James Preston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21stth minute of the game Tom Sugden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Potato Chasers's James Preston was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Potato Chasers getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Robbie Tetley hit a great ball. A collision led to Ripon FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Ivan Brighton hit a great ball. In the 27thth minute Ethan Legzdins got a great chance to score trying to place the ball in the top left corner, but Lenny Downes was prepared and efficiently stopped the ball from getting in. If Franz Gamble had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lenny Downes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicholas Beesley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 played minutes Ripon FC got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Brighton. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 37th minute, when Potato Chasers's Devon Cousens after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Lenny Downes in Ripon FC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. When Lance Moss fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Potato Chasers's protests and gave Lance Moss a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th minute, Lance Moss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ripon FC's Phil Ashton couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 41st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Potato Chasers. When Tom Sugden came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Ripon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tom Sugden couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 54th match minute, Potato Chasers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lance Moss to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Potato Chasers getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Lance Moss hit a great ball. James Preston made an important save on a dangerous shot by Franz Gamble in the 56th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Nicholas Beesley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Potato Chasers's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicholas Beesley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lenny Downes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Nicholas Beesley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. James Preston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Sugden in the 71st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Franz Gamble managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ripon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Franz Gamble was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. James Preston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Franz Gamble had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tom Sugden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but James Preston made a huge save. Lenny Downes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicholas Beesley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, Devon Cousens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 87 minutes, Nicholas Beesley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Potato Chasers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicholas Beesley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ripon FC's Lenny Downes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicholas Beesley in the 89th minute of play. After 90 minutes of play, Ripon FC's Franz Gamble made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. James Preston was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 94th minute, Ethan Legzdins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lenny Downes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Ripon FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
