A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, Maniac City's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Sutherland came free, but Rhys Laycock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 13 minutes, CJ Furlong mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maniac City and the Addlestone AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Addlestone AFC! In the 23rd minute, Stewart Clement hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute, James Edmunds ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rhys Laycock was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Rhys Laycock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Sutherland, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Edmunds in the 29th minute of play forced Maniac City's goalkeeper Rhys Laycock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aaron Nightingale succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 33rd playminute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. James Edmunds was the one to do the kick off. Denis Sutherland's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rhys Laycock firmly grabbed it by the left post. Aaron Nightingale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Damien Dobbs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Lewis Barnes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damien Dobbs was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Rhys Laycock was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers James Edmunds in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rhys Laycock saved Maniac City from getting behind. 90 minutes into the match, Addlestone AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Nightingale came free, but Damien Dobbs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 94 minutes, Lewis Barnes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maniac City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lewis Barnes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Maniac City had won after a very even match.
