Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The supporters of Liverpool FC booed when Maniac City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deon Jowsey didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Lewis Barnes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maniac City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Rhys Laycock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Craig Connell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stewart Clement during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rhys Laycock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martyn Hatcher, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Martyn Hatcher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Rhys Laycock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Martyn Hatcher's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rhys Laycock was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 66th minute Lewis Barnes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddy Sheppard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee showed CJ Furlong the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Maniac City's CJ Furlong got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Jamie Hanley took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rhys Laycock. Maniac City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Martyn Hatcher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rhys Laycock having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's Dave Markinson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rhys Laycock narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lewis Barnes might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eddy Sheppard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Maniac City's goal looked a bit too open when Martyn Hatcher came free, but Rhys Laycock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
