Danny Humphreys's late challenge caught a Aldershot Titans FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danny Humphreys helped the player get up and apologised. Danny Humphreys kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. When Austen Stone came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the South Benfleet FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Austen Stone couldn't finish the play. Stefan Oates recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19thth minute of the game Austen Stone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aldershot Titans FC's David Childs was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Simon Bellamy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Childs having to interfere. In the 22nd minute of the match Dylan Clarke shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Childs showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Austen Stone cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. David Childs was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. David Childs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Austen Stone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. South Benfleet FC were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Aldershot Titans FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Danny Humphreys took the corner. In the 29th match minute, South Benfleet FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barrie Beevers to maneuver through the defense. After 32 played minutes Aldershot Titans FC got a freekick which was hit by Jasper Carragher. In the 32nd minute of the match Danny Humphreys shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Childs showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 36thth minute of the game Austen Stone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aldershot Titans FC's David Childs was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luke Sedgemore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When South Benfleet FC's Austen Stone in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alistair Kirk to make the kick off. David Childs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Bellamy in the 57th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Hayden Avery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Hunt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Childs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Bellamy in the 71st minute of the match. David Childs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alistair Kirk in the 77th minute of play. South Benfleet FC's Simon Bellamy managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Joseph Dransfield in the 86 minute of the game. Simon Bellamy received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. David Childs came out and tried to block the shot, but Simon Bellamy slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 87th minute. Luke Sedgemore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. David Childs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Childs was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luke Sedgemore showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 93 minute of play.
