Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Newnham's Tyler Rocastle started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peter Elam's late challenge caught a Hoddesdon AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Elam helped the player get up and apologised. Peter Elam kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Ash Winstanley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ash Winstanley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 minutes, Tyler Rocastle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newnham and the Hoddesdon AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tyler Rocastle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd match minute, Hoddesdon AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Lane to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, Hoddesdon AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tyler Rocastle came free, but Zackary Preston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marc Beevers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zackary Preston having to interfere. Marc Beevers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Zackary Preston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was a very nice shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Derek Dryden to make the kick off. Jason Breeden made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ash Winstanley in the 52nd minute. Hoddesdon AFC's Zackary Preston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Beevers in the 66th minute of play. Marc Beevers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chip Crocker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zackary Preston having to make a save. Peter Elam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Marc Beevers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newnham's supporters rose to their feet, but Marc Beevers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zackary Preston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marc Beevers struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Zackary Preston didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newnham. Tyler Rocastle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute, Tyler Rocastle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carl Lane kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After 92 minutes, Derek Dryden made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Newnham's Jason Breeden tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hoddesdon AFC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Newnham's much stronger midfield.
