Zackary Preston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norman Zamora, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Millwall's Norman Zamora nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zackary Preston made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Danny Sheene managed to get in a good position for a shot. Millwall's supporters rose to their feet, but Danny Sheene was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zackary Preston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Danny Sheene sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jeff Woodhouse fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Millwall's protests and gave Jeff Woodhouse a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes Millwall got a freekick which was hit by Jeff Woodhouse. 29 minutes into the match, Norman Zamora notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Hoddesdon AFC's Zackary Preston. Zackary Preston was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The wind increased when Danny Sheene made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Jonathon Caton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Norman Zamora got free with Zackary Preston in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56th minute, Norman Zamora got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norman Zamora's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Zackary Preston skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alf Rashleigh hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Jonathon Caton was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 65th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Norman Zamora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Derek Dryden in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vern Sandell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dean Fleetham hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Millwall's Zackary Preston threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Danny Sheene, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Hoddesdon AFC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Pierre Barat hit a great ball. After having played for 81 minutes, Danny Sheene managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Millwall's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danny Sheene was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Hoddesdon AFC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Carl Lane hit a great ball. Norman Zamoras short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Zackary Preston to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Norman Zamora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zackary Preston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danny Sheene in the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Dean Fleetham made a precise shot to the right of Zackary Preston. Hoddesdon AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The Hoddesdon AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Millwall were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
