The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Perry Weeks during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Perry Weeks kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Felix Clark's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lance Thackray was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Neil Humphreys made in the 7th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Mitch Ward. Shawn Fairfax made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kurt Briant in the 8th minute. Mitch Ward fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shawn Fairfax having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Felix Clark got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 15th minute, Michael Croyden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lance Thackray stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Clark's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Lance Thackray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conan Crtichell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kurt Briant's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Shawn Fairfax firmly grabbed it by the left post. Lance Thackray didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Clark went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Felix Clark's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lance Thackray read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Felix Clark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Thackray having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Panathinaikos F. C's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Clark came free, but Lance Thackray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41stth minute of the game Felix Clark who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panathinaikos F. C's Lance Thackray was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Perry Weeks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Clark might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lance Thackray. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Clark ran back to his position shaking his head. When Mitch Ward came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Panathinaikos F. C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mitch Ward couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Felix Clark struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Lance Thackray didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fulofham FC. In the 60th minute, Kurt Briant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 63 minutes, Felix Clark made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Panathinaikos F. C's Lance Thackray tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 67 minutes, Perry Weeks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fulofham FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perry Weeks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Panathinaikos F. C's zone, Donald Blair stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lance Thackray came out of the goal and Donald Blair tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lance Thackray was a little too slow when Felix Clark got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-3. Kyle Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Mitch Ward ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shawn Fairfax was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Felix Clark in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lance Thackray, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Felix Clark's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lance Thackray read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Fulofham FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Panathinaikos F. C.
