Al Prutton came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Denholme City's Sean Gaskell. But to his dismay, Sean Gaskell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When Dale Peat came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Denholme City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dale Peat couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes into the match, power rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Dale Peat came free, but Al Prutton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The power rangers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Denholme City were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lennie Woodman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
