Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Peter Parrott made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in Brixton's zone, Dale Peat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Derek Miller came out of the goal and Dale Peat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Dale Peat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denholme City's supporters rose to their feet, but Dale Peat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Derek Miller breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sean Gaskell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Derek Miller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niall Darby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simeon Crowell, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute of the match Brixton got a corner. Denholme City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Benjamin Ploughman ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Toby Martin managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Dale Peat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Derek Miller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peter Parrott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dale Peat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simeon Crowell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niall Darby having to make a save. In the 29th minute, Joseph Goodman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the match, Denholme City's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Parrott came free, but Niall Darby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes Denholme City got a freekick which was hit by Rueben Featherson. Derek Miller made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Dale Peat sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Simeon Crowell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brixton's supporters rose to their feet, but Simeon Crowell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niall Darby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niall Darby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Parrott in the 46th minute of play. Niall Darby came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Brixton's Simeon Crowell. But to his dismay, Simeon Crowell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sean Gaskell was the one to do the kick off. Denholme City's Dale Peat got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benjamin Ploughman hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Sean Gaskell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Medley during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st match minute, Brixton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Medley to maneuver through the defense. Aaron Medley got his second yellow card in the match during the 67th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Aaron Medley hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute of the match Gaz Brazier sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Derek Miller skillfully saved the ball. Sean Gaskell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derek Miller having to interfere. After 84 minutes, Verne Dudgeon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brixton and the Denholme City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 84 played minutes Brixton got a freekick which was hit by Verne Dudgeon. Dale Peat took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Derek Miller. Derek Miller dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 90 minutes into the match, Dale Peat notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Brixton's Derek Miller. Derek Miller was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Derek Miller didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Devon Hall went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Denholme City were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Brixton for a fine match.
