Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mitch Ward made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the game, Michael Croyden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panathinaikos F. C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shap United the free kick. In the 4th match minute, Panathinaikos F. C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Croyden to maneuver through the defense. Lance Thackray made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Beckwith in the 6th minute. Lance Thackray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Cornish in the 7th minute of the match. Felix Beckwith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Lance Thackray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Beckwith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zane Sykes during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zane Sykes kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Shap United's goal looked a bit too open when Mitch Ward came free, but Eric Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Panathinaikos F. C's Mitch Ward in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Shap United's goalie prevented a goal. In the 28th minute, Zane Sykes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 30 minutes of play Shap United's Zane Sykes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Shap United getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Zane Sykes hit a great ball. Felix Beckwith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vincent Cornish recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Felix Beckwith cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Lance Thackray was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

Felix Beckwith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Lance Thackray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vincent Cornish blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lance Thackray having to make a save. Lance Thackray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Cornish in the 53rd minute of play. If Felix Beckwith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lance Thackray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Beckwith in the 59th minute of play. Vincent Cornish fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Thackray having to interfere. When Felix Beckwith came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Shap United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Beckwith couldn't finish the play. Vincent Cornish sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Beckwith in the 76th minute of play forced Panathinaikos F. C's goalkeeper Lance Thackray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Felix Beckwith had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lance Thackray. Panathinaikos F. C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Beckwith was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. If Felix Beckwith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vincent Cornish in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lance Thackray prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Felix Beckwith fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Thackray having to interfere. Lance Thackray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Beckwith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 90 minutes, Vincent Cornish managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shap United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vincent Cornish was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95thth minute of the game Felix Beckwith who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panathinaikos F. C's Lance Thackray was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vincent Cornish sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Shap United were the better team. Shap United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
