The audience was convinced that Gus Golding's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jools Brough was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Jools Brough didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Beaver went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 15 minutes into the game, Dom Brooke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. nafienaf's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ForestXI the free kick. The supporters of ForestXI booed when nafienaf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dom Brooke didn't get a good kick on the ball. Glen Linkletter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jools Brough showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gus Golding, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After some careless play in the ForestXI defense, David Beaver kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jools Brough. The ForestXI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jools Brough should have stopped the shot. Jools Brough showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dom Brooke, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damian Devaney was the one to do the kick off. Jools Brough took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gus Golding, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dom Brooke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Jools Brough made a huge save. If Gus Golding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
