Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Damian Devaney started the match with the kick off. Jools Brough showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ged Nelson in the 4th minute of the match. After having played for 8 minutes, Ged Nelson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lond-Catford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ged Nelson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Damian Devaney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Rick Elam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Piers Burns kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Jack Rowling left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lond-Catford fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Phil Langford kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, ForestXI's goal looked a bit too open when Phil Langford came free, but Jools Brough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damian Devaney hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute of the match Leon Edworthy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jools Brough showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lond-Catford's zone, Damian Devaney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rick Elam came out of the goal and Damian Devaney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ged Nelson to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, ForestXI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kelvin Yorke to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Lee Dixon in the 56th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ForestXI's Damian Devaney. Phil Langford's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jools Brough firmly grabbed it by the left post. A hard shot 58 in the game by Phil Langford from a close distance when the talented Jools Brough managed to make a qualified save. ForestXI's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ged Nelson in the 59th minute of play forced ForestXI's goalkeeper Jools Brough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jools Brough showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ged Nelson in the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Phil Langford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute Ged Nelson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jools Brough saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 70 in the game by Phil Langford from a close distance when the talented Jools Brough managed to make a qualified save. ForestXI's players were relieved. The supporters of Lond-Catford booed when ForestXI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Devaney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jools Brough acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 75th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Leon Edworthy. Lee Dixon's late challenge caught a ForestXI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lee Dixon helped the player get up and apologised. Lee Dixon kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After having played for 87 minutes, Ged Nelson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lond-Catford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ged Nelson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Phil Langford could shoot a difficult shot in the 90th minute, which Jools Brough however easily saved by the left post. Ged Nelson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 94th minute. Lond-Catford's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 95th minute, Phil Langford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lond-Catford were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over ForestXI's much stronger midfield.
