In the 4th minute, Will Morgan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Jude Beadle from long distance, 5 minutes into the match, got Matt Hughes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Dom Brooke came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the nafienaf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dom Brooke couldn't finish the play. Dom Brooke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matt Hughes having to interfere. After having played for 22 minutes, Dom Brooke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. nafienaf's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dom Brooke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matt Hughes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gus Golding, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benji Gates during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bodmin's Benji Gates got a free kick in the 34th minute. David Beaver kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Bodmin's Benji Gates tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Bodmin's zone, Dom Brooke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matt Hughes came out of the goal and Dom Brooke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gus Golding to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Bodmin's Beinn Hewitt got a free kick in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dom Brooke in the 56th minute of play forced Bodmin's goalkeeper Matt Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dom Brooke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matt Hughes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. The referee showed David Beaver the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to nafienaf getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. David Beaver hit a great ball.
