Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alastair Peake took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Les Leighton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 7 minutes into the game, Alan Bryant cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Henry Walls was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Paxton Hotspur booed when Potters Bar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ashley Bowland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alastair Peake sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Paxton Hotspur's goal looked a bit too open when Alastair Peake came free, but Ed Crossman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes Potters Bar got a freekick which was hit by Ashley Bowland. In the 22nd minute of the match Rupert Downton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henry Walls showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 28th minute Alan Bryant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Walls saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henry Walls showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Bryant in the 40th minute of the match. Dom Waite hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Les Leighton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paxton Hotspur's supporters rose to their feet, but Les Leighton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henry Walls breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Potters Bar's Ashley Bowland got a free kick in the 44th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Les Leighton to make the kick off. Henry Walls showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Bryant, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Paxton Hotspur's Ed Crossman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Crocker in the 63rd minute of play. If Carl Crocker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 67 minutes, Alastair Peake managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Potters Bar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alastair Peake was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ed Crossman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Crocker, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Henry Walls made an important save on a dangerous shot by Richie Carter in the 80th minute. After 81 played minutes Paxton Hotspur got a freekick which was hit by Les Leighton. Ed Crossman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alastair Peake in the 84th minute of play. Ed Crossman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ashley Bowland, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Seth Walker kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Seth Walker charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Seth Walker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Paxton Hotspur getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Seth Walker hit a great ball.
