The corner was taken by Harvey Porter in the 8th minute. Ozzy Durkin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ed Crossman having to make a save. When Perry Earnshaw fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paxton Hotspur's protests and gave Perry Earnshaw a yellow card for diving instead. Perry Earnshaw kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. When Toon Army FC's Ozzy Durkin, in the 19th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Toon Army FC. Ed Crossman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deon Boyce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Les Leighton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dom Nailor having to interfere. The supporters of Paxton Hotspur booed when Toon Army FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryan Beevers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toon Army FC were furious when Calum Stansfield was red carded, 30 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Toon Army FC! The referee gave Paxton Hotspur a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rupert Downton, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Toon Army FC's Dom Nailor. 0-1. In the 35th match minute, Paxton Hotspur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Haywood to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Paxton Hotspur's zone, Ozzy Durkin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ed Crossman came out of the goal and Ozzy Durkin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Paxton Hotspur getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Seth Walker hit a great ball. Ozzy Durkin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ed Crossman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Les Leighton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dom Nailor having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ozzy Durkin was the one to do the kick off. Alan Bryant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the game, Seth Walker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paxton Hotspur's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Toon Army FC the free kick. Seth Walker kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After 61 played minutes Toon Army FC got a freekick which was hit by Danny Cunningham. If Les Leighton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute of the match, Les Leighton tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dom Nailor saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 71st match minute, Paxton Hotspur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seth Walker to maneuver through the defense. If Ryan Beevers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Toon Army FC's goal looked a bit too open when Les Leighton came free, but Dom Nailor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ozzy Durkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Harvey Porter charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harvey Porter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ryan Beevers's late challenge caught a Paxton Hotspur's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ryan Beevers helped the player get up and apologised. Paxton Hotspur's Rupert Downton couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Toon Army FC. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Paxton Hotspur had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
