Barrie Griffin charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Barrie Griffin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Duncan Wroe put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rueben Willoughby. In the 12th minute, Jordan Sharpe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th match minute, Todmorden AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ollie Jepson to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duncan Wroe during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 15 played minutes DSCLUB got a freekick which was hit by Duncan Wroe. Ollie Jepson kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 21st minute of the match Chris Holmes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eddie Church showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, DSCLUB's Eddie Church got control of the ball when Josh Ely tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute, Duncan Wroe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DSCLUB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 36 minutes into the game, DSCLUB's Rodney Jones nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rueben Willoughby made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Todmorden AFC's goalkeeper Rueben Willoughby, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Duncan Wroe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Rueben Willoughby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Barrie Griffin to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Liam Santos during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th minute, Jerry West got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Duncan Wroe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Rueben Willoughby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rueben Willoughby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duncan Wroe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barrie Griffin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 70th minute, Duncan Wroe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DSCLUB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Jermaine Reynolds hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Josh Ely during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 77 played minutes Todmorden AFC got a freekick which was hit by Josh Ely. After having played for 79 minutes, Duncan Wroe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DSCLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duncan Wroe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd match minute, DSCLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Kessler to maneuver through the defense. When Barrie Griffin got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Todmorden AFC. In the 86th minute Barrie Griffin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddie Church saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duncan Wroe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rueben Willoughby having to interfere. After having played for 90 minutes, Jerry West managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DSCLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerry West was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Todmorden AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Duncan Wroe came free, but Rueben Willoughby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded DSCLUB left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Todmorden AFC.
