After a defensive mix-up in Walshaw's zone, Gareth Flemming stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sean La Forte came out of the goal and Gareth Flemming tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 14 in the game by Karl Amos from a close distance when the talented Sean La Forte managed to make a qualified save. Walshaw's players were relieved. If Gareth Flemming had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eddy Silvester during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Walshaw getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Eddy Silvester hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Walshaw's Silvester Hackney got a free kick in the 20th minute. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Gareth Flemming took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Sean La Forte to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 26 minutes, Gareth Flemming managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kingswear's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gareth Flemming was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Gareth Flemming took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Sean La Forte to make any attempt to save it. After 30 played minutes Kingswear got a freekick which was hit by Richard Jefferson. An unexpected shot in the 34th minute by Gareth Flemming got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Sean La Forte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gareth Flemming in the 40th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Karl Amos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kingswear's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl Amos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sean La Forte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sean La Forte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gareth Flemming, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sean La Forte made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Karl Amos sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Sean La Forte came out of the goal and Gareth Flemming tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walshaw's Eddy Silvester got his second yellow card of the match in the 60th minute. The referee ordered Eddy Silvester off the ground. After a rather tough play, Walshaw's Eddy Silvester got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 71st minute Gareth Flemming shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean La Forte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Karl Amos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sean La Forte was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 76th minute, Gareth Flemming got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sean La Forte came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Kingswear's Karl Amos. But to his dismay, Karl Amos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. If Karl Amos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Walshaw's zone, Gareth Flemming stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sean La Forte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gareth Flemming in the 87th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Karl Amos made a precise shot to the right of Sean La Forte. Walshaw's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Karl Amos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sean La Forte having to interfere. In the 94th minute Gareth Flemming shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean La Forte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walshaw's Sean La Forte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gareth Flemming in the 95th minute of play. Kingswear's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
