Charlie Graydon kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Daniel Phimister recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Phimister struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Geoff Wybrow didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Derby United. After 8 minutes, Tris Hamilton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the North Kilworth and the Derby United players grew even worse after the yellow card. 10 minutes into the game, Vince Delaney was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. North Kilworth's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Derby United the free kick. The supporters of Derby United booed when North Kilworth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vince Delaney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cliff Charles was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Geoff Wybrow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Coombe, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. If Johnny Coombe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 23rd minute, Derby United's Johnny Coombe dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 26 minutes into the game, Johnny Coombe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Derby United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave North Kilworth the free kick. After 26 played minutes Derby United got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Coombe. Geoff Wybrow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnny Coombe in the 28th minute of play. Geoff Wybrow showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnny Coombe in the 31st minute of the match. In the 35th match minute, Derby United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cliff Charles to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Daniel Phimister fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. North Kilworth's Geoff Wybrow proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save North Kilworth from getting a goal against them. Daniel Phimister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Phimister in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Geoff Wybrow, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

Wally Mumford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the game, Cliff Charles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Derby United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave North Kilworth the free kick. Wally Findley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Geoff Wybrow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Coombe, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Geoff Wybrow showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnny Coombe in the 71st minute of the match. Wally Findley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter Mallaby's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Johnny Coombe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Geoff Wybrow tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charlie Graydon scored 2-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Geoff Wybrow, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Phimister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind North Kilworth's goalkeeper Geoff Wybrow, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Daniel Phimister's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geoff Wybrow was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Wally Mumford could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Wally Findley made a huge save. If Peter Mallaby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Wally Mumford managed to get in a good position for a shot. North Kilworth's supporters rose to their feet, but Wally Mumford was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wally Findley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 98 minutes Derby United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jamal Mason who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Phimister charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Phimister the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Derby United's Daniel Phimister got a free kick in the 99th minute. When Jamal Mason came up free with the goalie in the 100th minute, the North Kilworth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jamal Mason couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Derby United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
