Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Phil Riad started the match with the kick off. Miles Haxby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Westbourne United's zone, Miles Haxby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bryan Fields came out of the goal and Miles Haxby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 15 played minutes Westbourne United got a freekick which was hit by Nat Gulliver. Daniel Grainger was a little too slow when Nat Gulliver got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-2. With a little luck, Geddington's Daniel Grainger got control of the ball when Zackary Richardson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bryan Fields showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sly Westlake in the 44th minute of the match. Miles Haxby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sly Westlake scored 1-3 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bryan Fields, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sly Westlake to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Geddington got a freekick which was hit by Miles Haxby. After a rather tough play, Westbourne United's Phil Riad got a free kick in the 55th minute. Dom Chalmers kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Sly Westlake was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 65th minute. Geddington's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sly Westlake in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bryan Fields prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 68 minutes, Piers Merrill mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Westbourne United and the Geddington players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of Westbourne United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Geddington:s goal. Westbourne United:s Bryan Fields showed great skill when he stopped Miles Haxby:s penalty. In the 74th minute, Sly Westlake fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bryan Fields, passed just outside the right post. 76 minutes into the match, Westbourne United's goal looked a bit too open when Sly Westlake came free, but Bryan Fields reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Grainger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phil Riad, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Daniel Grainger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phil Riad in the 81st minute of play. Sly Westlake received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Bryan Fields tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miles Haxby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. When Phil Riad fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Westbourne United's protests and gave Phil Riad a yellow card for diving instead. After 96 played minutes Westbourne United got a freekick which was hit by Phil Riad. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Sly Westlake managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geddington's supporters rose to their feet, but Sly Westlake was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bryan Fields breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
