Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ged Lennon kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the match, London United's Peter Medlin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Terry Dibb narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ged Lennon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terry Dibb having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ged Lennon in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Terry Dibb saved FIVEteen United from getting behind. If Ged Lennon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. London United's Warren Riley got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Ged Lennon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Terry Dibb. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 17th minute, but Terry Dibb got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving FIVEteen United hanging dry this time. After a defensive mix-up in FIVEteen United's zone, Ged Lennon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Terry Dibb came out of the goal and Ged Lennon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Norman Gibbons fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FIVEteen United's protests and gave Norman Gibbons a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FIVEteen United getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Norman Gibbons hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, Norman Gibbons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When London United's Ged Lennon in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FIVEteen United's goalie prevented a goal. Warren Riley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Warren Riley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Terry Dibb made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 52nd minute, Ged Lennon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Terry Dibb was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Ged Lennon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Terry Dibb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, London United's Warren Riley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Terry Dibb narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FIVEteen United's Terry Dibb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Warren Riley in the 60th minute of play. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind FIVEteen United's goalkeeper Terry Dibb, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Warren Riley in the 65th minute of play forced FIVEteen United's goalkeeper Terry Dibb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ged Lennon in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Terry Dibb saved FIVEteen United from getting behind. Ged Lennon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ged Lennon in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Terry Dibb prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FIVEteen United's goalkeeper Terry Dibb, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, FIVEteen United's goal looked a bit too open when Ged Lennon came free, but Terry Dibb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ian Beck charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ian Beck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ian Beck hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute Warren Riley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Terry Dibb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FIVEteen United's Rufus Lawson got a free kick in the 80th minute. Warren Riley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Terry Dibb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Warren Riley in the 85th minute of play forced FIVEteen United's goalkeeper Terry Dibb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute Ged Lennon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Terry Dibb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute of the match London United got a corner. FIVEteen United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gav Kellaway ran over to the corner to take the kick. 91 minutes into the game, Byron Mallon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FIVEteen United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave London United the free kick. Byron Mallon kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Gav Kellaway sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FIVEteen United's Terry Dibb didn't even have to move.
