When Kimpton's Jez Budden in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Nevėžis's goalie prevented a goal. If Piers Rathmell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute, Jez Budden ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alan Kerr was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. FC Nevėžis's Alan Kerr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jez Budden in the 17th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, FC Nevėžis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brandon Durrant to maneuver through the defense. Shawn Stansfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Alan Kerr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, Kimpton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marek Laverick to maneuver through the defense. Piers Rathmell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Piers Rathmell struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Carlton Reeves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Nevėžis. A collision led to Kimpton getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Max Nailor hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jez Budden to make the kick off. Alan Kerr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jez Budden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Shawn Stansfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the game, Piers Rathmell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Carlton Reeves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Blair Bartlett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Piers Rathmell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Carlton Reeves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Nevėžis booed when Kimpton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Sharples didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlton Reeves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Piers Rathmell, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The supporters of FC Nevėžis booed when Kimpton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marek Laverick didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 minutes, Grant Ward mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Nevėžis and the Kimpton players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of FC Nevėžis:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kimpton:s goal. Alan Kerr went to the wrong direction when Marek Laverick was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Shawn Stansfields short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Alan Kerr to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Blair Bartlett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlton Reeves having to interfere. Denis Sharples received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Alan Kerr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
