Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ged Lennon started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Warren Riley took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Matthew Halliday to make any attempt to save it. Ged Lennon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Halliday having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Warren Riley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matthew Halliday was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. In the 13th minute, Paul Gilchrist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matthew Halliday showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ged Lennon, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ged Lennon in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matthew Halliday prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 21 minutes into the game, one of Cromer:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gav Kellaway walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After 27 played minutes Cromer got a freekick which was hit by Paul Gilchrist. Warren Riley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Halliday having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Ged Lennon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Matthew Halliday. The goal made the score 2-1. 35 minutes into the match, Cromer's goalkeeper Matthew Halliday had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Warren Riley. Matthew Halliday showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ged Lennon in the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute Ged Lennon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthew Halliday saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Warren Riley managed to get in a good position for a shot. London United's supporters rose to their feet, but Warren Riley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matthew Halliday breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paul Gilchrist charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paul Gilchrist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Warren Riley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 47 played minutes London United got a freekick which was hit by Warren Riley.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paul Gilchrist made a kick off. Warren Riley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Matthew Halliday tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Warren Riley's late challenge caught a Cromer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Warren Riley helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to London United getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Warren Riley hit a great ball. If Warren Riley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ged Lennon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cromer's zone, Warren Riley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matthew Halliday came out of the goal and Warren Riley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dale Atkins kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Cromer's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Medlin came free, but Matthew Halliday reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ged Lennon came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the London United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ged Lennon couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute Peter Medlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthew Halliday saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Ged Lennon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Matthew Halliday was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ged Lennon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Matthew Halliday tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80 played minutes Cromer got a freekick which was hit by Paul Gilchrist. In the 83rdth minute of the game Ged Lennon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cromer's Matthew Halliday was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Matthew Halliday showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Warren Riley in the 88th minute of the match. Warren Riley struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Matthew Halliday didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for London United. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. London United fully deserved thier win.
