After a rather tough play, Horbury FC's Roger Bittner got a free kick in the 18th minute. Jay Carey-Bertram stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jez Budden's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Jez Budden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jay Carey-Bertram tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Horbury FC's Nathanial Murphy tried to score from far away in the 37th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 41 minutes, Owen Buckle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Horbury FC and the Kimpton players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jay Carey-Bertram made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jez Budden in the 45th minute of play. Shawn Stansfield scored 0-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jay Carey-Bertram, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When Jez Budden fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kimpton's protests and gave Jez Budden a yellow card for diving instead. Jez Budden kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kimpton's goalkeeper Carlton Reeves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jay Carey-Bertram was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jez Budden showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 68 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jez Budden in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jay Carey-Bertram saved Horbury FC from getting behind. After 76 minutes of play, Kimpton's Shawn Stansfield made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jay Carey-Bertram was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Kimpton's Alistair Theobald got a free kick in the 80th minute. Horbury FC's Ray Corbridge got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Max Nailor kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. With his leg Jay Carey-Bertram managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Kimpton's Shawn Stansfield fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Horbury FC's Jay Carey-Bertram got control of the ball when Shawn Stansfield tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kimpton had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
