The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Felix Robson kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Kimpton's Carlton Reeves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dion Smikle in the 8th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Jez Budden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kimpton's supporters rose to their feet, but Jez Budden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orson Boyd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cracovia KS's Orson Boyd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Sharples in the 11th minute of play. Carlton Reeves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stevie Whittaker in the 17th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shawn Stansfield got free with Orson Boyd in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24thth minute of the game Jez Budden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cracovia KS's Orson Boyd was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Shawn Stansfield hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Dion Smikle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlton Reeves having to interfere. Stevie Whittaker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Carlton Reeves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th match minute, Kimpton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alistair Fields to maneuver through the defense. Orson Boyd made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Shawn Stansfield sent off a good shot on target. If Jez Budden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stevie Whittaker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Carlton Reeves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jez Budden stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carl Malpeli during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee showed Johnathan Cookson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Kimpton booed when Cracovia KS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnathan Cookson didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cracovia KS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kimpton.
