Shawn Stansfield who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Jay Carey-Bertram when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Shawn Stansfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jay Carey-Bertram having to interfere. Jay Carey-Bertram showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jez Budden, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 46 played minutes Jez Budden rounded Horbury FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Shawn Stansfield blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jay Carey-Bertram having to make a save. 89 minutes into the match, Horbury FC's goal looked a bit too open when Shawn Stansfield came free, but Jay Carey-Bertram reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shawn Stansfield in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jay Carey-Bertram saved Horbury FC from getting behind. After having played for 93 minutes, Jez Budden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kimpton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jez Budden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Shawn Stansfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jay Carey-Bertram tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kimpton's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
