Spectators: 7238 (Terracing: 5501, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 11) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peter Medlin during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Terry Dibb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Warren Riley, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Warren Riley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Terry Dibb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Ged Lennon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Terry Dibb was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half London United were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Marlon Stansfield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Byron Mallon, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Seth Beale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marlon Stansfield read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ged Lennon in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Terry Dibb prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 63rdth minute of the game Ged Lennon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FIVEteen United's Terry Dibb was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 68th minute of the match Gav Kellaway sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Terry Dibb skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ged Lennon in the 82nd minute of play forced FIVEteen United's goalkeeper Terry Dibb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Warren Riley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terry Dibb having to interfere. Ged Lennon was extremely unlucky when he, in the 95th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 99 minutes into the match, FIVEteen United's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Beck came free, but Terry Dibb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The FIVEteen United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. London United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
