Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 150) An unexpectedly hard shot by Blair Wadham in the 4th minute of play forced Kilburn, Westbourne Park's goalkeeper Ashley Singleton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jonny Holmes came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Leiston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonny Holmes couldn't finish the play. Blair Wadham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ashley Singleton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Leiston booed when Kilburn, Westbourne Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Bartlett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blair Wadham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 14 played minutes Kilburn, Westbourne Park got a freekick which was hit by Kenny Speight. Kenny Speight's late challenge caught a Leiston's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kenny Speight helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kilburn, Westbourne Park getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Kenny Speight hit a great ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Blair Wadham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leiston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blair Wadham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Blair Wadham came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Leiston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blair Wadham couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Leiston's Ashley Singleton threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Blair Wadham, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Seb Martin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blair Wadham in the 37th minute of play forced Kilburn, Westbourne Park's goalkeeper Ashley Singleton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Kilburn, Westbourne Park's Kenny Speight got a free kick in the 40th minute. Leiston were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Kilburn, Westbourne Park's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gordon Renner took the corner. Benji Ashton's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ashley Singleton firmly grabbed it by the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Blair Wadham to make the kick off. Seb Martin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blair Wadham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonny Holmes during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 58 played minutes Leiston got a freekick which was hit by Jonny Holmes. Ashley Singleton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blair Wadham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Leiston's Seb Martin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ashley Singleton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Seb Martin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ashley Singleton having to interfere. Ashley Singleton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blair Wadham in the 72nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blair Wadham in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ashley Singleton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd match minute, Kilburn, Westbourne Park was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dale Horner to maneuver through the defense. Blair Wadham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ashley Singleton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blair Wadham in the 90th minute of play. Ashley Singleton came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Leiston's Blair Wadham. But to his dismay, Blair Wadham quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Leiston walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
