Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Loyd Poole fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Pool having to interfere. In the 11th match minute, Amberley AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rob Hickson to maneuver through the defense. Loyd Poole scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lance Pool, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Danny Snowden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Trueman in the 22nd minute of the match. When Calum Webster came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Amberley AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calum Webster couldn't finish the play. Stefan Trueman succeeded in the game's 25th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. In the 30thth minute of the game Will Ferrell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Amberley AFC's Lance Pool was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Calum Webster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Burton upon Trent FC's goalkeeper Danny Snowden had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Calum Webster. In the 39th minute Loyd Poole shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lance Pool saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Loyd Poole received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Lance Pool tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Loyd Poole sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After some careless play in the Burton upon Trent FC defense, Calum Webster kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Danny Snowden. The Burton upon Trent FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danny Snowden should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Will Ferrell took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Lance Pool to make any attempt to save it. In the 78th minute, Loyd Poole ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lance Pool was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Lance Pool showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Will Ferrell, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. If Loyd Poole had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
