Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Trey Griggs started the match with the kick off. In the 8thth minute of the game Trey Griggs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Crystal Palace's Rob Beavan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Nicholas Beech had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trey Griggs was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 11th minute. Callington's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 12th minute, Trey Griggs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henry Plummer struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Derek Charles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crystal Palace. In the 19th minute, Crystal Palace's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nicholas Beech fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Sebastien Swain fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crystal Palace's protests and gave Sebastien Swain a yellow card for diving instead. Sebastien Swain kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Darryl Clark was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The supporters of Callington booed when Crystal Palace was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastien Swain didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robert Ruddock lost his temper 40 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Crystal Palace! In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Callington. Kirk Hopton stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rob Beavan. 3-0. Rob Beavan made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Nicholas Beech sent off a good shot on target. Nicholas Beech fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rob Beavan having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Sammy Lamb made the kick off in the second half. Rob Beavan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Trey Griggs took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rob Beavan. Rob Beavan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. After a rather tough play, Callington's Alf Fawell got a free kick in the 78th minute. Calvin Coates shot from long distance in the 78th minute, but Derek Charles was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Rob Beavan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicholas Beech, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th match minute, Crystal Palace was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kasey Heath to maneuver through the defense. Rob Beavan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicholas Beech in the 96th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Callington fully deserved thier win.
