Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ronan Blowman made the kick off which started today's match. In the 9th minute, Shane Ratcliffe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stone fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Shawn Clayton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rupert Niven, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 21 minutes, Wes Cooper managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bourne End's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wes Cooper was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rupert Niven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rupert Niven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Shawn Clayton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Bourne End's Wes Cooper nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Shawn Clayton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 33rd match minute, Bourne End was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rufus Chappell to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Wes Cooper could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Shawn Clayton however easily saved by the left post. Ronan Blowman took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Phil Bower. Phil Bower dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. 47 minutes into the game, Stone's Ronan Blowman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Phil Bower made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Wes Cooper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rupert Niven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Wes Cooper came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Bourne End fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wes Cooper couldn't finish the play. After 72 minutes, Joey Crocker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stone and the Bourne End players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bourne End booed when Stone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joey Crocker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rupert Niven in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shawn Clayton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute Wes Cooper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shawn Clayton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Rupert Niven had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shawn Clayton. Stone's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rupert Niven was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. After a rather tough play, Bourne End's Rufus Chappell got a free kick in the 84th minute. Wes Cooper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shawn Clayton having to interfere. Shawn Clayton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rupert Niven's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Shawn Clayton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rupert Niven in the 96th minute of play.
