The audience was convinced that Stephen Weir's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lewis Dobbs was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Tim Clarke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Rundle having to interfere. 19 minutes into the game, Tristram Wendon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Lewis Dobbs was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lewis Dobbs had great luck who in the 23rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Stephen Weir from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Alistair Burns might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mike Rundle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alistair Burns ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute Alistair Burns shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Rundle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tristram Wendon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Lewis Dobbs made a huge save. Tristram Wendon was extremely unlucky when he, in the 36th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Herne Hill's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Stephen Weir 37 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Vic Beckford charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After having played for 47 minutes, Stephen Weir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kmaster FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stephen Weir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stephen Weir was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Kmaster FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stephen Weir to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute, Alistair Burns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the game, Kmaster FC's Tristram Wendon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lewis Dobbs prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stephen Weir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Lewis Dobbs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ritchie Butcher charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Lewis Dobbs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stephen Weir's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Stephen Weir sped through Herne Hill's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lewis Dobbs. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tim Clarke got free with Mike Rundle in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kmaster FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
