Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rupert Niven started the match with the kick off. Bourne End's Phil Bower played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ged Blake in the 3rd minute of play. Ged Blake received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Phil Bower tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Andre Beaver came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Swindon fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andre Beaver couldn't finish the play. Andre Beaver struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Phil Bower didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Swindon fc. Phil Bower took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andre Beaver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Bourne End's goal looked a bit too open when Andre Beaver came free, but Phil Bower reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Bourne End's zone, Andre Beaver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phil Bower came out of the goal and Andre Beaver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wes Cooper got free with John King in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rupert Niven in the 28th minute of play forced Swindon fc's goalkeeper John King to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Swindon fc's John King proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Swindon fc from getting a goal against them. Wes Cooper in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of John King, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The attack was good, but when Wes Cooper in the 44th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 48th minute, Louis Spencer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Swindon fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Andre Beaver made the kick off in the second half. Phil Bower made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andre Beaver in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Swindon fc booed when Bourne End was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rufus Chappell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ged Blake fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phil Bower having to interfere. When Swindon fc's Andre Beaver in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. John King was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rupert Niven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ged Blake could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Phil Bower made a huge save. In the 94th minute, Rupert Niven got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. John King showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rupert Niven, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Swindon fc eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
