Simon Mawson guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 28th minute Stan Marriott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Mawson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Stan Marriott got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Simon Mawson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stan Marriott's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kristian Hook made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Gaz Bowen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Man City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Ed Midson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristian Hook, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute.
