Dion Lydiate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John-Paul Gunn having to interfere. Austin Adamson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruce Starr in the 43rd minute of play. Bruce Starr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Austin Adamson having to interfere. The Dzeko Army players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tottenham Hotspurs were winning 0-1.

The Tottenham Hotspurs players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
