The referee ignored Grim Reapers's protests and gave Jools Flack a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Grim Reapers's Jools Flack got a free kick in the 4th minute. Tooting United's Grant Pointon couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 4th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Grim Reapers. Kris Falkingham in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fraser Philips, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fraser Philips showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greg Bridgeman, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 13 minutes in the game, Greg Bridgeman fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fraser Philips having to interfere. If Greg Bridgeman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Grim Reapers's Dion Basham got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Greg Bridgeman was the one to do the kick off. Fraser Philips made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Greg Bridgeman in the 52nd minute of play. Paul Armitage charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Fraser Philips tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80th play minutes Greg Bridgeman shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Fraser Philips and just under the crossbar into goal. Kris Falkingham struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute.
