Spectators: 6734 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 0) Rod Horner made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in New Ash Green FC's zone, Kris Falkingham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Fairbank came out of the goal and Kris Falkingham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kris Falkingham took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frank Fairbank. Frank Fairbank dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Tooting United's zone, Rod Horner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry Morcom came out of the goal and Rod Horner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henry Morcom made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Crispin Patterson sent off a good shot on target. Kris Falkingham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Fairbank having to interfere. Tooting United's Greg Bridgeman got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Crispin Patterson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 29th playminute. Greg Bridgeman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frank Fairbank having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Greg Bridgeman in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frank Fairbank prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Tooting United fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Tooting United's Kris Falkingham looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kris Falkingham in the 48th minute of play forced New Ash Green FC's goalkeeper Frank Fairbank to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Tooting United's Nathan Butterworth got a free kick in the 55th minute. Rod Horner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kris Falkingham's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Frank Fairbank skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 62 minutes into the game, Scott Lamb was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Ash Green FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tooting United the free kick. After a rather tough play, New Ash Green FC's Scott Lamb got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Greg Bridgeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kris Falkingham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Greg Bridgeman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Frank Fairbank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jake Bull's late challenge caught a Tooting United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jake Bull helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to New Ash Green FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Jake Bull hit a great ball. With his leg Frank Fairbank managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Tooting United's Kris Falkingham fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Crispin Patterson managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Ash Green FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Crispin Patterson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henry Morcom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frank Fairbank stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Greg Bridgeman's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kris Falkingham got free with Frank Fairbank in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. New Ash Green FC's Frank Fairbank played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Greg Bridgeman in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Tooting United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than New Ash Green FC.
