When Eddy Robertson, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 22 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Alfie Macken was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Alfie Macken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddy Robertson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Eddy Robertson notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Spurs27's Alfie Macken. Alfie Macken was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eddy Robertson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Alfie Macken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Hereford's Scott Todd got control of the ball when Chesney Houlahan tried to sneak it across the goal line.

If Jay Swinscoe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfie Macken made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Graeme Barron sent off a good shot on target. Jay Swinscoe might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Scott Todd. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Scott Todd came out of the goal and Chesney Houlahan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 0-3 became the score in the 91st minute when Eddy Robertson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hereford eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
