The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Max Eyre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sammy Bailey, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The supporters of Kikhavn FC booed when South Woodford United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Picker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sammy Bailey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Max Eyre having to make a save. Pierre Delaney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brynn Marsden in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, South Woodford United's goal looked a bit too open when Brynn Marsden came free, but Pierre Delaney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cliff Coates hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Stew Locking sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Kikhavn FC's Max Eyre didn't even have to move. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marc Picker got free with Max Eyre in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Max Eyre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jake Marshall in the 36th minute of the match. Mickey Hunter kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Sammy Bailey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Max Eyre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sammy Bailey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Kikhavn FC's zone, Marc Picker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Max Eyre came out of the goal and Marc Picker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute of the match Stew Locking sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Max Eyre skillfully saved the ball. Brynn Marsden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre Delaney having to interfere. After having played for 61 minutes, Marc Picker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. South Woodford United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marc Picker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th minute, Sammy Bailey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ashley Platt during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of South Woodford United booed when Kikhavn FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ashley Platt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, South Woodford United's Stew Locking broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide.
