After 22 played minutes Danbury got a freekick which was hit by Brett Amos. If Piers Beasley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Richard Kidd didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Fleet's Piers Beasley shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After 26 minutes of play Danbury's Will Watkins was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Danbury's Joey Delamore got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Brett Amos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 44 played minutes Fleet got a freekick which was hit by Ashley Percival. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Fleet made a substitution. Romeo Chegwyn replaced Ted Mitchell-King. Connor Gates tried in the 53rd minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Arkadiusz Jarmulowicz a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-1. Johnny Weir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd match minute, Danbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Austen Bryant to maneuver through the defense. When Piers Beasley came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Fleet fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Piers Beasley couldn't finish the play. Austen Bryant recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gordon Barfield during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gordon Barfield hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Austen Bryant could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Arkadiusz Jarmulowicz however easily saved by the left post. The audience was convinced that Piers Beasley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Kidd was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Austen Bryant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Arkadiusz Jarmulowicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Calum Endean during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Fleet's Ashley Percival got a free kick in the 88th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Austen Bryant got free with Arkadiusz Jarmulowicz in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Fleet players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
